Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing – Terms & Conditions
By scheduling an appointment or accepting services from Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing, the customer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Pricing & Vehicle Condition
All prices and quotes provided by Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing are based on the information available at the time of booking and are considered estimates until the vehicle can be inspected in person.
Final pricing may increase if the condition of the vehicle differs significantly from what was described, photographed, or reasonably anticipated when the appointment was scheduled.
Conditions that may result in additional charges or recommended services include, but are not limited to:
- Excessive dirt, mud, sand, pet hair, stains, spills, odors, or other contamination.
- Excessive personal belongings that require removal, organization, or additional handling before detailing can begin.
- Heavily neglected vehicles requiring substantially more time, labor, products, or specialized equipment than originally anticipated.
- Paint contamination, mineral deposits, oxidation, sap, excessive bugs, or other conditions requiring services beyond the selected package.
- Any other condition that substantially increases the time or work required to complete the requested service.
If additional services or charges are recommended, Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will discuss the findings and associated costs with the customer before performing the additional work. No additional charges will be made without customer approval.
2. Results & Service Expectations
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will make every reasonable effort to provide high-quality results within the scope of the service purchased. However, detailing cannot guarantee the complete removal or correction of every stain, odor, scratch, water spot, paint defect, contamination, or other condition.
Some conditions may be permanent, may require additional services, or may not be safely correctable through detailing.
Detailing services are intended to clean, protect, restore, and improve the appearance of a vehicle. They do not constitute mechanical, body, upholstery, paint, or other repair services unless specifically stated as part of the purchased service.
3. Pre-Existing Damage & Vehicle Condition
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will exercise reasonable care while performing all services. However, vehicles may contain pre-existing damage, deterioration, loose or damaged components, previous repairs, or other conditions that are not immediately visible prior to service.
Examples may include scratches, rock chips, cracked or loose trim, failing clear coat or paint, damaged upholstery, deteriorated plastics, loose interior components, damaged window tint, aftermarket accessories, decals, wraps, and other previously damaged or weakened materials.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions or components that fail during normal and reasonable detailing procedures due to age, deterioration, improper installation, previous damage, or previous repair.
Photographs and/or video may be taken before, during, and after service to document the condition of the vehicle.
4. Customer Responsibilities & Personal Belongings
Customers are encouraged to remove personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle prior to their appointment.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.
Customers must provide reasonable access to the vehicle at the scheduled appointment time. Delays caused by inaccessible vehicles, locked gates, unavailable keys, excessive personal property, or other customer-related circumstances may affect service completion times and, when substantial additional labor is required, may affect pricing.
5. Child Safety Seats, Seat Covers & Personal Equipment
Customers are encouraged to remove child safety seats and other removable personal equipment prior to their appointment.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing may remove child safety seats and/or removable seat covers when necessary to properly clean the item, seating surface, and areas underneath. Reasonable care will be taken when removing and handling these items.
For safety and liability reasons, Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing does not reinstall child safety seats or removable seat covers after they have been removed for cleaning. These items may be placed inside the vehicle or returned separately for the customer to reinstall.
Customers are responsible for properly reinstalling and securing all child safety seats, seat covers, and other safety-related or removable equipment before operating the vehicle.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing does not guarantee the proper installation, fitment, or securement of customer-installed accessories or safety equipment.
6. Travel Fees
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing proudly serves Farmington and surrounding communities.
Appointments located outside the standard service area may be subject to an additional travel fee. Any applicable travel fee will be disclosed to and approved by the customer prior to scheduling or performing the service.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed to in writing prior to the appointment.
Customers choosing to utilize financing or installment payment options offered through third-party providers, including Klarna, must complete the financing application and receive approval prior to the scheduled appointment. Services utilizing financing may require payment to be processed before work begins.
If financing is denied, expires, or cannot be completed prior to the appointment, the customer is responsible for providing an alternative approved payment method before services are performed.
Commercial, fleet, dealership, or other approved accounts may be subject to separate payment terms when agreed upon in writing.
8. Booking Deposits, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing may require a $30 booking deposit to reserve an appointment. Deposits may be required based on factors including appointment type, travel distance, scheduling requirements, or previous cancellation or no-show history.
When a booking deposit is required, the deposit will be applied in full toward the final cost of the scheduled service and is not an additional fee.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing understands that schedules can change. Customers are asked to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
With at least 24 hours’ notice, the booking deposit may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in forfeiture of the booking deposit.
Customers are responsible for being available and providing access to the vehicle at the scheduled appointment location. If the customer cannot be reached or access to the vehicle cannot be obtained within 15 minutes of arrival, after reasonable attempts to make contact such as knocking, calling, and/or texting, the appointment may be considered a no-show. Any applicable booking deposit will be forfeited.
Customers who have previously canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice or failed to appear for a scheduled appointment may be required to provide a booking deposit before any future appointment can be reserved.
If Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing must reschedule an appointment due to weather, equipment failure, or another circumstance outside the customer’s control, any deposit paid will transfer to the rescheduled appointment. If Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing is unable to provide the scheduled service and a mutually acceptable alternative cannot be arranged, the deposit will be refunded.
Repeated late cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows may result in refusal of future service at the discretion of Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each customer. Booking deposits, when required, help secure that reserved time and offset scheduling and travel losses associated with late cancellations and no-show appointments.
9. Appointment & Arrival Times
Because Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing is a fully mobile service, scheduled arrival times should be considered estimates.
Traffic conditions, travel distance, weather, equipment issues, previous appointments, and other unforeseen circumstances may affect arrival times.
Customers agree to allow a reasonable arrival window of up to 30 minutes before or after the scheduled appointment time. If a greater delay is expected, Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer.
10. Weather Policy
Because services are performed outdoors and in varying environments, appointments may need to be delayed, modified, or rescheduled when weather conditions could negatively affect service quality or safety.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing reserves the right to postpone or reschedule appointments due to rain, high winds, lightning, freezing temperatures, extreme temperatures, or other adverse weather conditions.
Weather-related rescheduling initiated by Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will not be considered a customer cancellation. Every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule the appointment for the earliest mutually convenient time.
11. Photo & Video Authorization
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing may take photographs and video recordings of vehicles before, during, and after services are performed.
These images and recordings may be used for documentation, quality control, training, customer communication, proof of service completion, marketing, advertising, website content, social media content, and other legitimate business purposes.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will make reasonable efforts to avoid displaying personally identifiable information, including addresses, personal documents, and license plate numbers, when publishing photographs or videos for marketing or advertising purposes.
By accepting service, the customer grants Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing permission to use photographs and video recordings of the vehicle for the purposes described above without additional compensation or notice.
Customers who do not wish for their vehicle to be used in marketing materials must notify Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing prior to the start of service. Requests to opt out of marketing use will not affect documentation, quality-control, or proof-of-service photographs and videos maintained for business records.
12. Safe Working Conditions
Customers are responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to the vehicle and work area.
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing reserves the right to delay, relocate, discontinue, or refuse service when conditions present an unreasonable risk to the customer, technician, vehicle, equipment, or surrounding property.
Unsafe conditions may include, but are not limited to, hazardous traffic conditions, aggressive or unsecured animals, hazardous materials, bodily fluids, needles or other sharp objects, pest infestations, unsafe property conditions, or severe environmental conditions.
Customers should disclose known hazardous conditions prior to the appointment whenever reasonably possible.
13. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or modify services when vehicle conditions, safety concerns, customer conduct, or circumstances outside the originally agreed scope make it unreasonable or unsafe to continue.
If service has already begun, the customer may be responsible for the reasonable cost of services, materials, and labor completed prior to discontinuation.
Whenever reasonably possible, Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing will discuss any change in service with the customer before proceeding.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling an appointment, approving an estimate, authorizing work, or accepting services from Mudboy’s Mobile Detailing, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version in effect on the date services are performed will apply to that appointment.
